So I've had my 1.8T since August. No maitnence yet, I have approx. 9700 miles on it so far. I took my car in around 5k in an attempt to get an oil change. Nope said Diablo Audi, the service schedule states 10k blah blah blah.We will charge you $150 is you want to do it now balh blah. So i left my car at the Diablo Audi for a day to get a squeak out of my window, and have the dealership order new cup holders. Well now my car is currently running like crap with numerous other problems.

When I first got my car, my cup holders never worked properly, and they still don't. Recently my power seats have been faulty, with a loud noise that is heard when it reaches a certain height. My Bose sometimes works and sometimes it doesnt. And lately it hasn't worked at all. In fact the radio doesn't even work. Has anyone experienced this? I would have imagined Audi would have had much better parts. Seems as though they are deceiving you will what feels like a solid car, but its filled with so many problems. I should have bought a Honda... *sigh*

Before I get flamed about the maintence service, I just wanted to say that the BMW concord dealership would give oil changes and what not whenever I took in my mom's x5. Is it because it's a more upscale car? I'm not quite sure, but I clearly remember the service department being top notch with very friendly people. Audi , at least Diablo Audi on the other hand....

If your car is a 2004, then first maintenance should be at 5k miles. I had mine done then.

Every automotive poll and survey (including CR) rates the X5 worse than any Audi. Ditto all of the car magazines (including C&D). What I can't figure out is why magazines other than those jerks at C&D report very few or none of the problems on the Audis they use for their long term tests that Audi owners report here on AudiWorld.

You're supposed to get free maint for 40K and it even includes wippers if you need them or ask for them..... check other stealerships they should be able to help you.... and if I was you I'll report Diablo to AoA.

First scheduled maintenance (if you check your manual) is 10K (for '02-'03. 5K for '04) and it doesn't offer much besides oil/filter change.

With regards to the electrical problems; keep after the dealer to fix it, or find another dealer. Complain to AoA if you have to. My car has some "gremlins' also, but it's not enough to make me want a Honda.
