They are trained by AoA. Every dealer has at least one. Call the sales manager for an appointment.
Problem is that when people think that $150 over invoice is fair ( someone last week ), and the salesperson gets paid 20% of that, you don't attract the cream of the crop ;-)

Once I was in the dealer ship and a sales man told me "nice debadged A4" I said thanks then he asked "Is it 1.8T or 3.0" I told him it's a 1.8T then he said "So you get wood trim" ... He actually surprises me ...
And some sales people can't know whether the car is 1.8T or 3.0 unless they see the sticker price !

In the case of Barrier, they separated Porsche/Audi. Then combined Saab and Audi while promoting the knowledgable people to Porsche.
As enthusiasts, we expect a lot of our sales people. But, they are fine for the 99% of the population.

I had an awesome experience with the ABS at the dealership I bought at. Again, I probably could have haggled another couple of hundred off my final deal, but these guys should get paid for what they do.
At the end of the day, is someone giving you accurate product knowledge and sound buying advice worth $300-400 more over the course of your loan --$10 a month? (that's a rhetorical question stupid)
