A4 (B6 Platform) Discussion Discussion forum for the B6 Audi A4 produced from 2002-2005

Are Audi sport seats available for our A4's? I hate the stock seats, no lateral support at all.

In Europe, yes; In North America, only in the A4 Cabriolet. (unless you import them somehow)

Default Will they bolt up though? Or is there modification involoved? If not...

Why would Vagparts offer them. When I talked to them, they said they wouldn't work if I remember correctly. But my memory is horrible, so don't quote me on that. I would like to update my seats, but not something as sporty as Sparco.

I have the same problem, and have been thinking about having them reshaped and recovered.

Default Hard to say without looking at one up close... The service manual shows instructions (more)

and it seems like the sport and regular seats are basically identical as far as their frames and such go. It's just the upholestry, padding, seat heater, and the leg extension support that is different between them.

I had thought for a while that the cheapest route would be to order just the above mentioned items from a UK dealer and install them on to the basic seat frame. However, I'm not really comfortable doing that without looking at more detailed photos of the sport seats or having someone check the sport seat frame.

Default Totally agree. B6 seats suck! Audi widened them from the B5 seats...

... to appeal to a broader US audience (read: fat people). The side bolsters in the B5 were just right. We need the Euro sport seats! Do I hear a petition coming on?

I was thinking the same, but with some Alcantara in the middle.

Default you know what, I find the same thing, when in passenger seat, left thigh gets really

uncomfortable, and opposite in driving seat, its really annoying sometimes.
