It has nothing to do with mismatched color. If you where to check it with a X-rite machine the color would be dead nuts. It is the metallic flake and the angle at which it sits on fascia that causes the precived color change. It is a condition know as "FLOP" and it is caused by the way the paint is sprayed onto the fascia and the design of the fascia.
IMO...I am sure who ever the fascia supplier is for Audi discovered this when doing the paint path program for the robots. I would bet money that they programed it in a way for optimum transfer efficency to minimize paint usage. Then they went to Audi and said "hey we have a color harmony issue because of the way we have to paint your fascia and if you want us to correct it will cost this much more per part." At that point Audi made the decision to live with the issue and save some money. Thats just my opinion...
Having said all that and being that I work for a fascia manufactuer. It majorly upsets me :-(
I tried to get Audi to help, but that was a waste of time. AOA says go see the dealer, dealer says nothing I can do talk to AOA, and round and round we go.
Given that these cars cost 40k plus (mine did anyway) the paint can at least match from all angles.

I didn't think I'd have to be that exact!
I work for Toyota MFG, and our 'percieved' paint match is TERRIBLE on the facia!
If I remember correctly, the facias are painted from above, but the car of course from the side. Looks totally different.
