Let me by start saying I'm no audio expert, but I do know a thing or two. Okay well heres my problem. I have a '02 A4 and I'm in the process of upgrading my stock speakers and amp. I'm planing on leaving the headunit stock, only changing front and rear components and amping them. I still have my 12"JLw3 with a PPI amp from my last a4 for the bass. Anyhow, the new A4s use 6.5" front and 6.5" rears (correct me if I'm wrong). And seems like the stock non bose speakers are coaxials with extra seperate tweets as well. So I went to my local audio shop and asked if I should buy 2 sets of coaxials as well as 2 sets of tweets for my front and rears and the guy told me that he wouldn't suggest that. I'm looking for good strong midbass and thats why I was looking into the 3-way coaxials. But, he said 6.5" components hit just as hard on midbass and have seperate tweets for cleaner sound, so I'm taking his word for it. So i got that figured out, I need 6.5" components. So now my trouble is which 6.5" components should I get that have good powerful midbass and tweets that are nice and strong but not ear peircing high? I'm looking for components that are around $200 (online price). So my friend suggests Infinity Kappas 60.5 ($199 online) and I trust his knowledge in car audio because he used to compete. He did my friends A4 with all Focal Poly Kevlar 6.5s and that things really bumps. But I dont have as much money and arn't looking to blast the sh*t out of my ear drums, I just need something that will produce clean sound with enough midbass power for mostly hiphop and club mixes. Well so I went to the local shop to buy them and the guy tells me if I'm looking for powerful midbass at the $200 price range, I should really consider the Kicker Resolution RS6c 6-1/2" Components which are listed for $179 online. So basically I have no clue what to get now. Oh and I'm planning on powering these speakers with PPI PCX480 listed for $360. Please help me chose the right speakers!! I've also considered Infinity Perfects 6.1 listed for $215, but I've heard they are just about the same the Kappas, not much better. So Pls help me chose the right speakers. Infinity Kappas, Perfects, Kickers? Or something else thats better than those 3 at the price range? I'm trying to buy them tomm, so please respond and help me decide...especially if you work at an audio shop and have heard a variety of different speakers. Thanks a lot in advance

Whats the size of the rear speakers (non-bose)? Searched archive...no answers?!?! HELP!

Euro 6-3/4" for the rear woofers (many 6-1/2s will also fit). Same for the front doors too. Note that there are separate tweeters in the doors. The front center-fill is a 2", and the rear subwoofer is reportedly a 9" unit.

Check the audio forum. There should be plenty of info there - I asked a similar question a while back.
