once, someone used my paypal acct to move British pounds thru my checking acct
which bc of the exchange rate, totally screwed up my balance. Paypal didn't do **** to help me, they just told me that bc it wasn't "a problem with goods or services purchased through eBay or another approved venue" that they were not responsible. All I asked them to do was send a letter to my bank telling them I did not authorize the transaction. I just wanted my balance back to what it was. Paypal just kept sending me these b.s. form letters apologize for my inconvenience. Luckily the bank manager knows me so she removed the fees and negative balance. She told me they get complaints about unauthorized paypal activity all the time (this was about 4 years ago)

Yeah I once had a paypal account back when they had the double and triple charging issues...
I remember there was a class action lawsuit against them. I had to use paypal for the purchase of my mirrors, but instead of signing up for an account I just did the one-time charge thing through my credit card. I check frequently to make sure no wrongful charges show up. It's really sad how messed up that company is and what a pita they are to deal with.
