Auto-RX procedure, really go from syn to dino back to syn?
Quick question on doiing Auto-rx, I use a full syn now and according to autorx.com, I run it with some 5w or 10w dino for the cycles, then switch back to full syn. I always thought you had to slowly make the move, and be really careful going from dino to full syn, is this right??
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

No problemo, shorter oci on dino and longer on synth. Changing is fine. I run syn winter/dino summer
Pure specu-theory from cave-men. All oil can really be called a blend anyway.
I'd try Havoline 10w-40, unique additives from Orinite lets the formulator use a thinner base oil. Quaker State has an excellent borate ester additive package as well. If you are talking 1.8t, run it about 3000+ miles with a full bottle of ARX. btw- a lot stays behind in the ARX bottle, rinse it out with some oil. If you are driving a V6, run out to 5000-6000 miles and take a look at Mobil Delvac 1300S in 15w-40. There is a $3 rebate on as many $10 gallons as you would ever want.
