Ok, here is my problem...when i turn on the car and the automatic climate control comes on with it on Automatic recirculation and temp set at 71. After a few minutes the vents automatically change from hitting me(front/side vents) to defrosting the front windsheild. Then i feel no air hitting me and the only way to get the vents coming back on hitting me is by pushing the manual recirculation button and keeping it there. This is the only way i can get the A/C to work in auto mode with the air vents on hitting me.

Anyone else have this problem or know the fix???

just leave auto off , and control vents and fan speed etc. manually. works for me.

and it isn't very smart.

I really like when it resets itself to what it wants when you start the car rather than leaving it on the manual setting from the last time you used the car.

You don't mention the ambient temperature when this happens. I don't mean to imply that the automatic temperature control a trouble free system. I find that it works fine when it is hot outside or when it is cold. It doesn't handle intermediate temperatures too well. When it is about 50 degrees outside, for example, it will blow hot air in your face. There is no avoiding manual settigns when the outside temperature is between 45 and 75 degrees.
