Default AWE Tuning GT28R turbo kit.....................

Good Evening,

Above graph is 100 Octane.

Numerbs on 93 are posted lower 233.6 and 243

Long story but during Waterfest I had a chance to catch up with Garrett and Todd (first time meeting them). Very nice guys. As you all know I have been running GIAC tunes in my car for a while with much success.

From the great local support at KTR Performance, the left coast all stars Mr. Moss, Garrett and everyone at GIAC, and the excellent reputation of AWE, the decision was easy.

So I am now running the AWE GT28R kit as an alpha tester. In looking over the kit ie. hardware, instructions and such, it is very comprehensive and AWE did a great job with the details (lines, clamps, connectors). My tech had one issue to navigate through but it was not due to any latent defect in the kit. A small human error we could say.

The kit is so stealth which I love. Fitment for all components is well thought out and it fits comfortably, there is really no other way to say it, fitment is excellent..

Now, the driving experience. Three words sum it up well.

Silky Smooth Power......

It really is smooth, almost like the turbo is not even breaking a sweat. Car hits stride at like 3800 RPM and you are gone..

I still do not know how to post multiple pics so one will have to do.. up above dyno was on 100 Octane....93 Octane pulls are in additional posts.

More to come soon.. All smiles here though. Thanks to KTR, GIAC and everyone at AWE Tuning. I appreciate the support.

Andrew

Here are the pump pulls.. Let me say that 80-90% of the big turbo Dynos I see are done at least on 100 Octane usually much higher..Here are myoulls on pump..

There are 5 different GIAC Maps with the AWE GT28R kit..

233.6
243.1

Default Well I spend >10% of driving time at the track so its pump gas that I am concerned with

But those numbers look good. Of the 5 different maps how aggressive is this one you dyno'ed ?

take advatntage of higher Octane gasoline should I choose to run it..

So do you fill up with 87 or premium??

Default Wow Andrew. Those are some serious numbers out of a 1.8T.

About 145hp over stock if I recall your initial pulls last year.

So what can you do now to get that engine up to 300hp?

Congrats on the achievement. Next time we meet up I'd love for you to take me for a spin so I can feel what that Hp and torque is like in person.
