B5 > B6?
#13
I like both, but personally, I can't agree with the one thread that said the interior
of the B5 felt much more classier than the the B6. To me, the interior is where the biggest improvement was made.
I'm not surprised though, that some guys don't like the new B6. I'm sure it's the same for many cars that go through multiple generations of design (Corvette, Mustang, 3-series come to mind, plenty of others too).

I have to agree, the interior in a B6 is pretty much one of the best there is..........
with its tight fit and finish. My friend has a 330i and he sat in a B6 and he admits (even though hes a typical BMW 'enthusiast') that the interior is much much better than his 3 series.

I agree. The only thing that i MIGHT admit is better on a B5
is the rear end. The rear end on a B6 is still very nice looking, but i cant deny that the back is great looking on the B5. Afterall, i remember that my doctors pearl white B5 1.8T is what got me hooked on audi in the first place.

Firmer lines? it almost has more curves than a beetle or taurus..
Thing that bugs me about B6's is that there are more body kit manufacturers than there are suspensions available for you guys. You guys say that there isn't enough development on the B6 because it's so new. A lot of the reason why the B5 is so performance oriented is because the B5 owners demanded and oftened went out of their way to become guinea pigs. They paved the way for tuners to come out with big turbo setups. B6 owners have a few people that I have seen step up to the plate and attempt to try new things.
I would safely bet that there are more go oriented B5 owners than there are B6 owners per capita. If you guys want go, you need to convince tuners that there is a market for it and as of right now the B6 market seems to be more interested in body kits and wheels than they are making their cars go faster and handle better.
That and Big brakes although bling, are designed to be used not shown!
