Default B5 or B6?

Hey Guys,
there seems to be A LOT of knowledgable people in these forums, sadly...on this topic i'm not one of them. Anyways...here goes my dumb question:

I have a 2002 A4 (1.8T, quattro) and have the symphony II radio in my car right now...going to upgrade to the RNS-E nav system and need to know if my car is a B5 or B6 version in order to determine if I need the CAN-BUS adapter...how do I determine this? I understand this forum says the 2002-2005 A4's are the B6 version, but i've been told some 2002 version A4s are actually a B5 version and will need the CAN BUS adapter. Please help me out, I would GREATLY appreciate it. (Also i've called the Audi dealership, given the VIN (both to service and parts departments) and they were unable to tell me if it was a B5 or B6 version)...

Thanks
-Bobby

Well, I don't think it could have gotten any easier than that! Thanks! You wouldn't believe how many people couldn't answer that question...Anyways...I was figuring it was a B6 since my radio fit the stock A4's from 2002-2005...anyways, thanks again!
