Default b6 3.0 help
A friend of mine has a 2003 A4, 3.0, roughly 90k miles and recently the car has been shutting off at idle, usually it turns right on after, but occasionally it takes a few minutes... any suggestions i can recommend?

Does he get a CEL? If so, codes would help. Otherwise, it sounds similar to a crank position sensor / engine speed sensor on a 1.8t. I assume the 3.0 has a similar setup.

cel is on but havent had a chance to take it to find out what codes are being thrown..

He can take it to Autozone or most auto parts stores and they can read the code for free.

code shown was the oxygen sensor...
