Default B6 issues

Ok, besides the coilpacks, and oil sludge, are there any other B6 problems in the 1.8 manual models? Our 97 A4 had control arm problems, and hydraulic clutch problems. Not to mention the timing belt/pulley break at 74k miles.

Default my list @ 99k, always dealer maintained CPO car

-wiper transmission
-input shaft seal
-o2 sensor
-headlamp washer jets
-lumbar switch & motor
-v71 motor for hvac
-alarm horn/siren (battery was failing)
-knock sensor #1
-thermostat & associated orings
-diff seal
-valve cover gasket & cam adjuster gasket
-fan controller module
-clutch @ 67k
-a/c leak & recharge

....and i'm sure a bunch of things i'm forgetting yet this is common (and all occured 70k-current, keep in mind this car was 100% maintained and primarily highway driven)

never...ever... buy an audi without an existing cpo warranty, ever.

Default I feel that the later B6s are less problematic (from mechanical, etc) standpoint.

I have a '05 1.8T 6-speed w/ 82k miles.

Mechanical repairs under warranty:
Rear coolant flange
Two coilpacks

Mechanical repairs out of warranty:
Leaking steering rack at 61k
Coilpack at 81k miles

EDIT: I do not have a extended warranty from a 3rd party. Car was bought new back in Sept '04.

Default B5 vs B6 - no contest. My B5 was in the shop EVERY MONTH at least...

Cracked head, clutch, control arms, intake cracks... more than I can recall.

My B6 had a leak on the head (CPO) and the phantom sunroof (CPO too). Other than the last bout with control arms and engine mounts the B6 has been a tank.

Default my clutch and radiator went at 50k, there is still an immeasurable coolant leak from the front

cup holder doesn't slow down, glove box brake is broken, minor button peeling, oil level sensor connector broke, main driver window switch assembly is broke, replaced valve cover gasket, injector seals weep.

Default If you're not going to mod it then CPO isn't bad

If you're mechanically inclined I say skip it. You have to pay a $50 deductable every time you bring it in, and then they always claim that its not covered under warranty
