probably too much pita to mount it the right way round for a b chassis
silly transverse mounting,
I'm gonna take a stab and guess this is probably becasue what... 99% of passats came FWD only... so its cheaper and more logical $$$ wise to scavange parts from teh A5 and adapt them to the B6. So give the people what they want... the VW camry and VW corolla too! It teh people's car anyways.
VW likes teh sloppy 2nds on the B6 platform. Its always best the first time round.

Driving, just dont look in he mirrored glas buildings as you drive by. Come home at night and remove the light from you garage, you'll love it then..

dude, VW needs to keep prices more in their market range...more
what are they thinking making a passat the price of a FULLY loaded A4?! why not just get the fully loaded A4?!?!!?!?!

you're not going to see a fully loaded Camry priced the same as a ES300. Nor will you see a fully loaded Accord priced the same as a TL...
