B6 vs. B7 Opinions please!

The reason I got the B7 was more just to check out the new drivetrain and to do testing on it to see what it can do. I often miss the styling of the B6 but the B7 is growing on me. Stock for stock the B7 drivetrain is quite an improvement. The powerband is very wide and the power itself is a great improvement, about 40-50 more hp at the wheels than the B6. It is also much more free of drivetrain slop literally elimating the need for snub and motor mounts I put on the B6. Now, if you want to seriously mod right away, i'd hit the B6 due to it having so many turbo options right now. On the other hand if just a chip is your taste, the B7 is doing with just a chip what the B6 does with a K04 turbo upgrade. Both are nice. The B8 is the one I am really looking forward to. cheers! The 2.0T has higher gearing through 3rd, which I think is why we're seeing a similar trap, but lower 1/4 mile.
I just think the 2.0T is realistically more like 205-210HP.

I even ended my last exchange with you with a compliment, against my better judgement, based on what I was getting in return from you. And here you are again, after licking your wounds and regrouping, to come back and pretend that you're the good guy here.
You o have a few cronies here with you, and I don't hink any other poster on these forums should have to watch what they say around this "good ol boy" club you think you've got going on AudiWorld. I don't care if you've ben here longer thn someone else. Doesn't mean I have to cow-tow to our stuff, or walk on eggshells around you and your pals when differences of opinion are being tossed about.

But, sure I understand where you're coming from. It's all going to come out in the wash as more of the 2.0T are tested anyways. Will be good to keep track of. cheers! Mike
