Default back from vegas and i am impressed with

first off, walked away with a grand in my pocket so thats cool

fvck all of you who think our cars are slow. 100+ degrees driving the 15 and my car was hauling ***. my a/c was full blast and the car kept pulling. was in 5th gear for 2 hrs. averaging 90 and when i needed to pass didnt have to down shift. the car just wanted to keep going.

anyways i was impressed with the performance of the car. put 500 miles on it on this trip and i was very impressed. the true performance of the chipped turbo shines on an open road

Default great! I drove about 600 miles 1-way last yr from DC to Montreal and it was so much fun.

Mind you I had no chip then, but the car accelerated effortlessly. There was a stretch on I-87 where I averaged about 90+ mph and I didn't even feel like I was going fast. I am looking forward to another trip now with the chip and exhaust. The 1.8T is a lot of fun, I love it.

Default same here, just did an 1800 mile trip, the 1.8T is super willing on the highway

Lots of mid-range torque for passing and negotiating mountain passes, and I had the car loaded full with my wife and son and all our baggage. The OE sport suspension can be a bit jarring on NE roads (I don't know how you guys in NY and NJ tolerate those roads with suspension mods). The Teconic Parkway in NY however was a blast, very beautiful, a great driver's road.

NY to PA: Driving the Pennsylvania Turnpike was not so civil (much needed construction repairs), but the Avant ate up the road with no problems ... we made good time.

Driving from Pittsburgh back down to NC on I-79/I-77 was a blast also.

I think this four-cylinder Audi is very smooth for highway cruising in ways that match or surpass six-bangers I've owned. We averaged 28-30 mpg on the highway, and bought five tanks of gas for a total of $168.00.

On another note. I might be imagining it, but my fuel pump buzzes a little more noticably than before the trip (did you guys with fuel pump failures detect this before it went?).

Hey, when 5th gear ends at like 150, you've got plenty of power- You never leave the power band.

Default That's right, I think APR tried to sue REVO for IP theft....

Luckily they lost, and now I have REVO!

Default gratz on the dough...yeah, i did that same trip from SF last week and I was flying--no real issues

even with 110 degree heat. passing was not an issue for me and from start to 60 with full AC, it was hauling. there were a few times when i was at full stop and accelerated--couldn't get it to move smoothly. i think the turbo kicked in faster in the heat or stronger at least.

anyway, i'm not chipped--wonder how fun it would be with a chip and exhaust.
