Default Bad Luck Just got worse.

They say that bad luck comes in three's, well I think I'm in for some good.

Two and a half weeks ago I posted here the accident with the car where someone nearly hit my wife head on after running a stop. Well the near miss destroyed my mirror and the guy took off. So, off to order a mirror I go, still don't have it though....

Last Wednesday, my wife decides to park the car underground at work because we were gettinng doused with snow. She backs out and scrapes the rear quarter and bottom rear valace against a darn pole. I lost my marbles and my voice that night.

Adding insult to injury, last Friday evening, driving home from work, she gets T-Boned making a left as another vehicle ran a RED! Thank heavens she is fine, this is after all the bottom line and my first concern, not a scratch on her. Sunday, I had to go to the hospital due to being very ill with a flu or sick with disgust over the accident - I don't know yet.

Now that that is out of the way, my freakin car!!!!!!!

I now need: A new Driver side mirror, repairs to my left rear quarter and valance, a new passenger door, a new rear passenger door, and a new rear passenger quarter panel. I hope to God there is no suspension damage, the frame seems to be fine at first sight, we'll soon see...Oh, and I also need a HOLIDAY!

So if you think you're having a bad day or year so far, take heart, read this twice! It can't be as bad!

I should have bought a Two Cylinder Ford Fiesta! It would not hurt as bad. Arrrgggg!

Thought I'd share these wonderful moments with my new (almost) A4 3.0 so far with you all. Other than these teeny tiny mishaps, life has been great with it - love the car.

Oh, and by the way, it was also blessed (don't ask, I don't want to go there...), but it seems the priest used the wrong bottle - maybe it was moonshine.

Glad that your wife is ok.

Default Dude that sux!

I think for her own safety and your sanity, you need to keep your wife from driving that car! And i don't mean she's at fault. Just seems to be bad luck. There's no coincidences in life. Get her out of it or get a new car. My brother had a bad luck car once. He couldn't keep that thing out of the body shop.

"Two Cylinder Ford Fiesta! It would not hurt as bad." She might be dead in that car!

Default Re: Bad Luck Just got worse.

geez sounds terrible ... if the car was T-Boned and it was the other drivers fault it should be covered by their insurance

if the damages are extensive the insurance company might decide to total it and you can get another one (you may need to add a little $$$ to cover the entire cost)

Default Stay home. Invite some friends. Lock the doors. Don't answer the phone.

Get drunk while watching silly movies.

Default Try to kill a couple of birds with one stone...

a little unethical but try and pass some of the costs to the pole scrape and mirror of to the t-bone guy (if feasible). Tell the insurance adjuster all was fine before and that the impact jarred the mirror off and the scrapes weren't there before.

Default that's one reason I lease mine,

if just doesn't "feel" right after such a large repair, no big deal just turn it in at the end!
