Best Paint for Brake Calipers??

I guess I can't just go to the local Autoshop and get a red "Duplicolor" to spray my Brake Calipers since they generate a lot of heat when braking....What Type and brand of paint is appropriate to paint the Calipers of my A4....And is it ok just to brush it on,that way I don't have to remove them from the car??Any Tips on doing it is much appreciated.

honestly, Tremclad red has always worked best for me...
...brushed on. two coats. leaves a super-thick glossy coat. can't beat the look.
It's not high-heat paint, but that's not a problem for daily driving. Hell, I even painted, my rotor hubs yellow, and that didn't brown!
The only time you'll have a problem, is at the track. A good day of lapping, with a set of PBRs, will get them hot enough, if you go hard enough.
A few hacks around here have left the calipers on the car and 'tried' to mask off the surrounding areas, but it just doesn't work. Won't last. And overspray on your control arms looks idiotic imo...
Personally, I just make a weekend out of it. It's probably a good time to upgrade your fluid, and put in a better set of break pads anyway.
Be sure to get the calipers -really- clean. If you have a bud with a blasting cabinet, it's all the better...

you guys are retarded....
I painted my girlfriend's jetta brake calipers a while back and we just used "RED SPRAY PAINT" $1.99 little bottle from a hardware store. You don't need special "caliper paint" seriously... The caliper doesn't even heat up. The brake pad is what heats up. If you want it really shiny you can add a few coats of it or whatever and maybe even a clear coat but we did one coat on hers and they still look sweet as all hell. Don't waste your money. Just my 2 cents.
