I just got my car and even though the BOSE stereo is not bad at all, it lacks a bit of clarity (highs) and a little bit of bass for my taste and I was thinking about adding or replacing some stuff, but since I am not a car stereo expert, i ask for your help on the best upgrades for the BOSE.
I am not looking to get a separate box in the trunk, I just want to replace the existing speakers with better ones.
I am gonna start with the subs since thats the one that bothers me the most. Any brands that come to mind first?.
Any other part that I should upgrade for the sound to improve?
Thanks

More power = better sound. Speakers won't make much of a difference until you have more power.
I'm going to do two Arc Audio amps, Dynaudio Component speakers up front and an Image Dynamics Sub. If you don't want to do an box style sub, check out the infinity basslink. It's a small self contained sub/amp that might give you the bass you desire. It won't be thumping but it will hit harder than it does now.
