Better gas mileage with K04?!
Seems odd to think upgrading to a bigger turbo/increased power would give better gas mileage. But since installing the K04, I actually went a week between fill ups whereas with the K03, it would be about 4-5 days needing a fill up.
I certainly wasn't gentle on the throttle ;-) I did my routine commute to work during the week and then some on the weekend. Anyone else notice this after they went K04?

More likely the warm weather
Not sure where you live, but my mileage went way up last week due to the warm spell we had in my neck of the woods.
My mileage definitely did not improve with my K04, but my heavy foot has a lot to do with that, I'm sure!

my mileage went up 3 mpg earlier this week in Boston...
I have been watching it like a hawk and comparing what the trip computer displays versus what I actually measure at the pump. This is because I recently added a 10% correction factor to the ECU via Vag-Com and I also want to establish a baseline prior to performing my GIAC FXK03 upgrade. I have averaged 25.8 mpg actual over the past 1,500 miles. On the warmer days I was seeing 29-30 mpg on my corrected trip computer. The 10% correction factor gets it within 2% of actual, fwiw.

I need to tweak the correction factor. Every day it says I get 39 mpg on the DIS FTW!
But sadly, I know I'm nowhere near that
When I did my calculations manually, I would get about 300 miles (either gas light came on or just about to) and fill up about 14 gallons.
What channel is it again to do the correction?
