Default Bi-Xenon Installation

I am interested in getting the Bi-Xenon housing, but I have a few questions. The Achtuning page says that all I need is the original xenon light system, which I currently have(e-codes).

Do I need to adjust the ECU since both the high and low beam will be using the same bulb.

Are there anything else that need to be done?
Thanx a lot.

Default I think you're a little confused about some of the features...

First of all the bi xenons are a simple plug and play. The high and low beams are NOT one bulb. When you switch the high beams on 2 things happen:
1) The separate high beam bulb turns on
2) A door that partially covers the xenon bulb opens completely allowing the xenon bulb to appear brighter.

When you buy the bi xenons all you would have to do is take out the bulb, ballast and transformer from your existing housing and put it in the bi xenons (sound intimidating but it literally takes 20 minutes). The process has been covered here several times in the last month but if you still need assistance you'll find tons of help here.

Default The easiest way to tell if you have bi-xenons is to turn on your high beams,...

if you hear something that sounds like a flap or door opening, then you have bi-xenons. Another way to tell is to have someone look directly at the xenon bulb. When you turn on the high beam, the xenon bulb will appear brighter (because of the flap allowing more light to come out). Obviously the latter method may have some ill effects on the person looking at the lights so try #1 first. My car came with the stock xenons and when I upgraded to the S4 Ecodes w/bixenons I was pleasantly surpised. The total light output is much greater than the the stock housings.

Default one more thing...

the xenon projector on the bi-xenon housings are a little bigger than the stock xenons (see my pic above).
