I am doing the wife's rear pads today, and want to bleed and replace the fluid as well. I have read through searching this forum, that cars with the stability control need a vag com to bleed brakes. (?)
Any feedback on experience with normal two person bleeding on this subject would be appreciated.

But you're only bleeding the rear lines, so no VAG necessary.
But like Scott said in his other post, you will need the rear brake caliper tool. You can't just compress the rears. You have to rotate the piston and compress at the same time. You can rent the tool if you don't have it.

Bleed sequence is weird, starting from closest and going to furthest, which is opposite of any other car I've ever done.
NO VAG cycling the ABS. While done on the B5's, no mention of it anywhere in Bentley for B6.
I always mention also that if doing full bleed flush, do your clutch, too! The clutch uses the same reservoir as the the brake system, so if you don't do the clutch, you're just re-contaminating your nice new fluid.

Wouldn't be first:
1. Dealer said they did something and didn't do it, and/or
B. Did something they weren't supposed to (or didn't have to) do
In any case, unlike the B5, which did have it in the Bentley, the B6 has nothing in Bentley at all for cycling ABS or doing VAG COM of any sort for a bleed or full flush.
Wouldn't hurt to do it, but there is nothing that says it needs done. My guess is that dealers do it simply because they are used to having done it on the B5, and never bothered to notice they don't have to anymore. I'd bet cash none of them switch up the bleed sequence like the Bentley calls for, either.

You're probably 100% right though. They're probably used to doing it one way for the B5s and never bothered changing for later model cars.

have the for sale sticker on the back of it. Looking to get a cheap truck for a while. Something that I can beat up on since I don't have a whole lot of time right now to take care of a nice car.
How you been? Still B6'n it?
