Blow Off/ Diverter Valve
Now i am aware that these are two different things although very similar. I have been told that i need a diverter valve for my 2004 1.8t. Are all after market diverter valves the same. I am adding a boost controller to my car and want to replace the factory diverter valve. I really like the sound that comes from the blow off valve. Can anyone recommend a good diverter valve or if i should be purchasing a blow off valve. Any info on this topic would be helpful. Thanks

Correct. BPVs work on a closed loop and are meant for our cars, a BOV is not...
Do a search for BPV (bypass valve--same as diverter valve) and you'll get everyone's favorites. Cheers! mike

was told that blow off valves are not good for our car. just get a forge..
bpv and spend ur money elsewhere. i agree the sound is hot but if u are running serious boost and have a forge u will still get that cool woosh sound and u will be running smoother
