Default Blown clutch diagnosis PLEASE!

Last week my clutch blew while driving on the highway (posted earlier). There were no signs of the clutch going before that day. No slipping, no smell, it wasn't hard to put into gear, the engagement point didn't change.

The only difference on that trip was increased drag on my car due to my snowboards and thule racks. On that particular drive all of the above symptoms suddenly reared their ugly faces.

Could anyone offer thoughts on what might be the culprit of my clutch problems based on that information I would be appreciative. I've this sickening feeling in my gut since Audi told me that it was probably my fault (yet they have not even looked at it yet). I just don't understand a 37,000 car having such a crappy clutch.

It has been over 7 business days now since my car was flatbedded to a Dealer service center thanks to a blown clutch at 9069 miles.

Has anyone else had problems with their car being repaired after an emergency drop off? Has AoA done anything for you as a result of not being able to drive your car? No offense to Buick, but I'm getting sick driving my grandpa's dream car.

Thanks for any input!

No good reason for a clutch to go at 9k unless your riding the F outa it...

Default exactly... no good reason... 37k? I'm assuming you're in a 3.0?

The 3.0 has a stronger stock clutch than the 1.8T.

Is this your first manual car? Do you rest your foot on the pedal? Not to be insulting or anything... but when I was young, I toasted a cluch in a BMW 3-series beause I drove around with my foot resting on the pedal.

Typically a clutch will slip on the highway in top gear before it totally blows.
