Especially with summer coming up.
A few years ago a bolt cost me a 2 week old tire on my Porsche. That hurt, the tire looked so new!
I just can't be in a hard curve wondering how my tire is doing. Wigs me out.

Anything in the sidewall is a risk though, especially if you drive hard.
How much is your safety worth to you?

a lot of people treat it as the least important, for the average driver, a happy balance should be struck between value, and quality.
if something ooks wrong, replace it,once was driving in Zimbabwe in a big old S500 , about 120 mph, there was a big bulge in the inner sidewall of the right rear, replaced it immediately.
now were at it, does anyone know what those bulges are caused by or how dangerous they are?
I could just see that tire blowing out at 120...:s
