My car is not supposed to have xenon headlights; however, they are a bluish white color when viewed from certain angles. I thought that I might be imagining this, but I had a couple of friends verify the color. It is very obvious when the fogs are on because they are more yellow. Is it possible that I mistakenly got xenon lights??

My halogens also take on a bluish tint at certain angles. It gets me all excited for a split second then I realize that I lack the great vision provided by the ever better Xenon lights.

turn the headlights on, if the flicker and then "warm up" and the light gets stronger for 3 or 4 seconds then you have HID otherwise its just an optical thing with the projector housings.

my lights are ecode (much sharper cutoff) and they have a sort of shimmery blue when you're looking right at the cutoff. Is that what you're talking about?

This is the same effect that can be seen on the newest Passats. Currently the Passat's don't offer xenons unless you get the W8, but when you glance at them for a couple of seconds at various angles, it looks like they are xenons.
