A family member will be taking delivery of a 2006 A4 2.0T with Bluetooth compatibility and needs to purchase a Bluetooth compatible phone. The family member currently has cell phone service through AT&T/Cingular. Because her cell phone is through work, changing cell phone service providers is not an option. The family member wants full bluetooth compatibility, including hands free speaking and dialing and full download of phone-book address information. She is not that particular about having a cradle in the car unless it dramatically improves reception.
Our local Audi dealer sent me a list of bluetooth phones that will work with the Audi Bluetooth module as follows:
• Siemens 556
• SonyEricson T610, T630, T616, T637
• Motorola V400, V500, V600, V710
Unfortunately, I contacted our local Cingular store and they do not have any of these models in stock anymore. The Bluetooth compatiblephone they do have stock are:
•Motorola V551, V3 Razor
• Nokia 6230, 6620
I am leaning toward recommending the Motorola V3 Razor to the family member because of its compact, thin profile, i.e., it looks cool. Does anyone have any experience with using the above four phones succesfully in an Audi equipped with the Bluetooth module?
Thanks very much for any help or input you can provide.

The problem with the Razor isn't so much BT phonebook synching and the like, as other issues such as (IIRC) the inability to disconnect from a BT-dialed call, as well as other idiosyncrasies.
As I don't have any direct experience with this phone, I recommend you check the A6 C6 Forum for details (use the keyword "Razor”).

had the old Sony Ericson T68i (ka ka reception in Bay Area but kick *** in Hong Kong--unlocked), then went to the T616 for a better reception.
FYI, for the old AT&T customers, Cingular is still trying to integrate them to their network and by the end of 2006, AT&T's system will no longer work (so i've heard).
To be honest, I liked my T68i better than my RAZR V3--still trying to get used to it. As far as bluetooth/headset combo, no issues. Can't say much for the car/bluetooth/phone experience.
You could take Hakon's advice and unlock a phone with bluetooth capabilities, very functional esp if you take trips out of the country. AT&T said they had lines in HK and that I'd be riding on their network there, but they would charge me $1.50 a minute. I picked up a SIM card locally there and it cost me about $12 and I had a good amount of minutes.
Ramble end...
