my mom just got a 325i and since there is a lot of debate between the two cars here is my 2 cents.
my experience with bmw has been pretty good. a good friend works at a dodge dealership as a manager and i got to play with the m3 (e46) trade-ins a few times. the m3 is awesome, hands down this car goes for the jugglular. so on to the review.
Interior-
The interior is inferior to my sisters 2003 Accord EX v6. The 325 has brushed aluminum, which I am convinced is reprocessed from old stereos, chicken gizards, and that brownish recycled paper. The car's interior feels very cheap and it's no contest that the Audi's interior is superior. The bottom line is that the BMW lacks refinement. Count you lucky stars that you have an Audi because BMW does not even come close.
DRIVE-
This isn't fair because my car is chipped with evo intake, and kn filter, but compared to the Accord the BMW slightly edges itself ahead. The Accord was staying with the BMW without a problem through a straight acceleration. It was between the 80-100mph phase where I expected the BMW to distinguish itself and edge out the Accord, but it was to no avail. Accord stuck right by up to around 110 without a hitch. Cornering and suspension goes to the BMW, and I to BMW's credit it does create a smooter ride then the Accord. However, Audi has a better handle within the 3. German cars have a way of wrapping you into the car, and making you feel safe. The BMW was no different. And in terms of ride I would go with the BMW because its much smoother than the Audi. However, BMWs are also heavy cars and there is definetly a lag that is comparable to Audis. Keep in mind that the Accord cost close to $10,000 less then the bimmer, and the bmw was only slightly less then an opted out Audi with quatrro.
I'll give you an update when I drive the car some more, but for right now I now I made the right decision going with the Audi.
