Boost gauge problems....

Boost gauge problems....
i installed my boost gauge today and noticed at idle it was reading like 10PSI vacum instead of boost at idle and when accel. it didnt go much above 0...could someone post detailed instructions? i T'd the line goin to the intake manifold and what not and its not workin

At idle it should be in the vacuum... about 17 though, and if your accelerating and not boosting
