Default Boost leak...left side behind engine??? HELP

I cant identify what it is, but i hear what i think is a slight leak when i accelerate. Ive been loving the sound of the spool from the intake and diverter valve but this is a sound coming from the drivers side of the car I feel like it is like right behind the steering column. I dont have any time soon to bring it in, but i was wondering if anyone has had similar symptoms and possibly prepare me for what i have to do. Im sure it will cost a pretty penny. Hopefully its just a hose

Thanks

Sean

Default

$5 says it's the L shaped hose on the right side of the intake manifold (looking from front of car)

Default did you test it out with a compressor?

how did you find the leak there? I jsut woke up and took a look at the car, i couldnt find any loose hoses or anything. i hope i have the same issue as you did, seems farily simple to fix and inexpensive...so it seems

Default yes, I did a boost leak test with my home made kit...

there was no visible break in the pump but I could clearly hear the air coming out at the junction circled in red.
The pump was fairly cheap and took about 20-30 minutes to change (the stock hose clamps are a PITA to get off and I changed a few check valves in the area at the same time).

Default "clearly hear the air coming out"

You can only hear the air coming out with the Boost Leak tester correct?

There is no way to rev the engine and hear the leak?

Thanks

Default I couldn't tell you for sure..

if you could hear it with the engine revving, I guess you'd have to try it. I doubt if you'd even hear it with the engine noise, it was easy to find but it was pretty quiet in the garage when I did the boost leak test.
