downpipe follows the stock cat. testpipe or special MTM downpipe replaces both the cat and downpipe

Default All of these posts are confusing

But this pic leads me to believe the exhaust comes w/ high-flow cats (it would be kinda foolish to ship a borla w/ OEM cats).

Just a guess.

Default No. Your cat is up by your turbo, then comes the downpipe, then comes your exhaust....

Some exausts come with a downpipe which hooks up to the back of your cat. It is an approximately 2 foot long pipe with a flex joint in the middle of it. There are a couple of companies that make testpipes that replace the cat ant the mtm exhaust comes with a longer downpipe (about 3 feet long) that replaces the cat and the stock downpipe to mate up with their exhaust. MTM is the only company to offer an integrated hiflow cat and downpipe. Cheers! Mike

Default those are resonators in the picture not cats, as bhvrdr says the cat bolts on at the

turbo on the 1.8t.

on the 3.0 the cat is in the middle of the dp, i believe
