Bose TSB (and more)

I have a 2004.5 with Bose. Occasionally my speakers will go in and out and today I could actually here them make a popping noise. I took the car to Rusnak in Westlake (CA) and they supposedly fixed it. It has been happening again so I took it back but they say since I have an aftermarket amp they cannot touch it. Is this true? The amp is for my subs. How can I fix this annoying problem? Also the volume fluctuates and some times I cannot even here the person next to me. I do have an exhaust though so that could be the problem.

I think that the only way to truly fix it is to wire the whole thing again from the ground up.

And get some better amps and speakers while you're at it.

That's what i'm planning. It's getting annoying fast though.

It seems to only get louder when I have others in the car.

I just had mine re-done at the dealer and we were talking and they said...

that since I had no aftermarket equip attached, AOA was going all out to fix it. But had I had an aftermarket amp, there would be no way that AOA would warrant it since the "original" radio is no longer original. My issue ended up being issues with the wire connections and the grease that they apply. Lets hope this works, been in 3 times in 4 months for the driver's door cutting out.
