Brake Clunk

I had new front pads and discs fitted two months ago.
The car handles and brakes perfectly apart from one irritating noise.
At first I heard a slight clunk when initial pressure was placed on the pedal , but only at low speeds , nothing at over 40/50mph
I took the car back , they dismantled , checked and reassembled the brake system , and now everything is fine going forward , but the clunk now appears when braking during reversing .
Any ideas anyone please

Where are the clips , are they the ones on the outside of the caliper ?
It only does it the first time , ie if I reverse then brake it does it , if I then reverse and brake again it doesnt .
