Default Brake light

The brake light went out and I replaced it. The indicator light in the dash is still on. I checked the brake light and it works. Do you have to reset something to get the dash light to turn off?

Thanks in advance.

Default You probably placed it incorrectly or it is the wrong type of bulb.

The notification goes out automatically after a blown light is replaced. Try reseating the light (take it out and put it back in firmly) or bring it to the dealer (who provides free bulbs if you're under warranty, by the way).

The strange thing is the dash indicator stated, "left brake light". After replacing the bulb now I get the brake light symbol.

It's giving you a symbol with no other text?
