Default Brake Pad Sensor?

Theres no 'brake pad sensor' on a 2002 B6 is there? Was thinking of going BBK and didn't want to have to deal with an idiot light or whatnot....

Default Re: Thanks! I see. Should I install a sensor loop...?

ECS sells one. Might be the neatest solution when I get my BBK. Here's their description:

ECS Brake Wear Sensor Loop-Square Round Connector
This ECS brake wire loop eliminates your brake pad indicator without cutting &/or splicing your wires
This ECS wiring harness plugs right into the car harness & eliminates the brake pad sensor light by proving a continuous loop. Basically this is the brake pad harness that is on a set of brake pads minus the pads.

Don't spend the money. Just use a paperclip. Wrap in e-tape or shrink tubing. Done.

Default I don't know why anyone with brake upgrade would want sensor.

If you have a brake upgrade but your don't check your pads once in a while (or change them when you track) then you're probably just posing and deserve to wear them without knowing.

Default You can just cut the...

wires off the oem pads and splice that end together to get around any sensor issues.

BTW you have any interest in the ECS caliper brackets I emailed you about?
