at 68k miles and had more life to it but changed it because I wanted some better stopping pads.
I've been through two sets of rear pads already and on my third currently.

some spirited driving in the mtns otherwise I take it easy on them. I figure it will be next on the list of things to do.
After reading many threads here on pads I am thinking of going with the HPS hawks pads. Should I just stay with OEM Rotors or go with something else? I am looking for something a little better than stock.

It is possible for them to squeak sometimes.
Make sure you do the following:
- proper bed-in procedure (www.stoptech.com has a nice bed-in procedure under "white pages" section)
- rinse of the calipers/rotors once in a while to get rid of the accumulated brake dust (may cause squeaking)
I'm still running Hawk HPS pads on the rear. No squeaking.
