Default Brake Painting BT: I'm planning on painting or possibly powdercoating...

these massive S4 calipers of mine. Three questions:
1) How much would powdercoating a pair of front calipers cost?

2) If I opt to paint them instead, what is the most popular paint used?

3)Where can I purchase the audi rings for the calipers?

Default answers...

1) $60-$120 depending on the prepwork and thoroughness of the shop. The high end would involve the shop disassembling the rotors to prevent damage to the seals and a rebuild kit to get them back to shape afterwards. The low end would involve your own disassembly and reassembly or would involve the shop PC'ing the unit in tact. (I wouldn't go that route due to the risk of melting or deforming the rubber boots which are almost impossible to source/replace).

2) G2 Caliper Paint is the go to choice. It's only $35 and is pretty easy to apply. Tack on some extra change if you want to be **** and clearcoat afterward or add decals.

3) ebay or there was a guy named CrisqoT.O. on Fourtitude that was selling some.

Default This is what I did for my HP2 calipers

Spray enamel, availble at any auto parts store, with decals from eBay...
