Brake Squealing?? Will this go away or are my brakes bad?
My brakes are squealing really badly when I come to a stop at moderate to low speeds (like approaching a stop sign). I only have 1500 miles on the car, is this going to go away eventually? There was a pamphlet at my audi dealer saying that brake squealing is normal. I don't expect the brakes to squeal on a 30k car!

me too..... i have the same problem...im wondering if these stock pads suck or something, i only have 500 miles and i properly breaked in the brakes.....so frustrating

same here on my 1 week old A4. (370 miles).
its so annoying. i was plannin to visit audi dealership this weekend.
is there anyway to fix up the problem?

Mine have never squeked. I consider "proper break in" stomping the brakes at 65 and holding till 0
Then repeat! BTW, I have a similar philosophy on engine break-in. DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT. If something is wrong with my engine or anything else, I want the problem to show right away. I have almost 7000 miles now and haven't had any problems.
