are brakes covered under the maintenance?

Yes, 2003 and earlier, pads discs unlimited number of times up to 50k miles 4 years. On 2004 (more)
only the pads are covered and one time only. No disc replacement or resurface.
I honestly find it hard to believe that people are going through brakes at that rate that even one set of pads would be needed, but my A4 has less than 6k miles so things might change later down the road....

I just had my front rotors replaced today....
under warranty. I have 24,800 miles on my 02. Those bad boys where all messed up. Whole car started to shake when braking hard at higher speeds.
