While I was under the car with the belly pan off, I noticed a broken bracket that bolts onto the block of my 1.8T engine. What is it? What's the part number for it? How critical is it? I'm assuming it is to hold the hose that is in front of the sway bar, but I'm not sure.

it's to hold the AC pipe stable, I guess eliminate vibration...I can't think of it being crucial, but it's available and should be cheap. Sorry, don't have #.

I took a closer look and you are right, it must be there for the AC line. It is zip-tied to the block now, so it is probably fine. I just got this car two months ago, I'm amazed and the random things that are broken. I'm guessing they broke this during an oil change, or the previous owner really bottomed out the car.
