Bummer - got a ticket for no front license plate
My a4 did not come with nor is there any bracket for a front license plate. I've had it for 2 years with no issues - some metermaid gave me a $100 ticket now I'm hosed. Anyone had this happen? What did you do?

I just got a fix-it tkt last wk. for no front plate & a burned out right break light.
Is it true that u just need to send proof (i.e. fotos) to the Court for fix-it tkts? If so I'm thinking about using velcro for the front plate and take the plate off after taking the pic.

Damn! They are harsh in SF. I got one in Santa Monica, with a parking ticket, and it was only $25
$10 w/ proof of correction (at my descretion). I just paid the $25. It should say on the ticket (back) how to handle it. It might be a lesser fine with proof of correction. Or perhaps they have stricter laws for it and you have to pay that fine regardless. Ouch! That is not good.

What some people do is
Go to the judge and tell him her that the body shop was in the process of giving you a licnese plate bracket/holder. and show the reciept of a license plate brakcet from a body shop

Had that happen once in MN..
A few years back my car (before the A4) was hit in the front while it was parallel parked on the street. Later that day I got a $60 ticket for no front license plate while the plate laid underneath my car. I filled in the memo line of my check with "for sexual favors".
