so I've only ever opened my business card holder on my dash once when I bought it to make sure it worked (box beside ESP button on the dash)...that was 18 months ago...sunday, I got in my car and it was open...and now it won't close...anyone got any idea about what happened and how to fix it...?

as in you push it in and it wont stay shut, it just pops back out or what?

I just stuck a pack of matches half way in and jammed it shut until next visit to dealer.

you can push it in, it just opens up again...the latch won't catch and you can't even feel any resistance from the latch even trying to work...and like I said, it's not been used in a year at least...so how it happened is beyond my tiny brain's comprehension...

anyone ever had the dash apart in that area?

If you pop off the trim above the drawer you can remove it. Maybe then you can see how it works. I had to replace mine after mounting my old XM radio to it. Part # 8E1-941-561-5PR (It is called a SHELF). Cost is $67 Good luck.

this exact same thing happened to me. were you ever able to fix it? as of now i have a piece of business card in there to keep it from always being open. so annoying

any information you can lend would be helpful
