The A4 had more power, i am thinking 260 hp V6 and a 215 hp I-4 and just a tad more driver involvment. The A4 would sweep those comparison tests. They always comment on the good looks, build quality, handling, AWD, interior, etc. but the one thing that it lacks is power. Once we get (at least this is what i am expecting) some more potent powerplants in '05 audi should be among the leaders in its class.

Yeah, if we get this extra power in '05, all the comp will be another 60-70 horses ahead...

I realize that some cars are just better then others, but I have been a C&amp;D reader for about 7 years now and they really seemed bias towards Japense car companies.

Some of the things that really get under my skin is when they compare two of the same cars that are just branded differently. Take the Vibe vs. Matrix, C&amp;D rate the Matrix two cars ahead of the Vibe. They are the same car!!! Also, when ever they rate a Toyota they also mention the build quality. Well GM has won several awards recently for build quality, including a higher initial quality rating then the Camry for the Impala. However when they rate a GM vehicle you never here anything about quality.

I don't know I guess it the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter, but it just bothers me.

So what I am getting at is that I am seriously loosing respect and value in C&amp;Ds ratings. Probably becuase I know the outcome before I read the article.

My company car is a 3.0 QM sport and even with the lowered body it did great in heavy snow the other day.Thank God for Winter M2's- would never do that in any of those other cars. I also have a '01 TT roadster Quattro and it is also GREAT all year 'round...
