I've posted this petition on my350z.com to gain some more support

Even if nothing happens with these tickets,
it sets a precedent that a number of people disagree with how the laws were enforced. And because we live in a democracy where the government serves the people, this matters. How would any discussion of issues like racial profiling have started if not for lots and lots of people calling officers like sgt olsen and complaining? While some might say that racial profiling is still an issue in parts of the country, i think one would be hard pressed to say that voicing concerns hasn't led to fairer treatment and certainly a sharp decline in racial profiling. maybe the same will happen here....

I don't know if Olsen's the traffic sgt., patrol sgt, the PD PIO/PR sgt.; and you maybe right... nothing will be dismissed/revoked/changed for this event, but I believe SBPD will address this issue as a matter of policy. There are upcoming events at SB fairgrounds. Perhaps these calls will be of "assistance" to future attendees.
Cops are gear heads too and even own audi's
"Ticket Proof" is granted as a professional courtesy that the vc authorizes an officer the discretion to exercise. What I witnessed for the most part was indiscretion.
If it is okay for one to be "ticket proof," why can't these peeps be given the opportunity to be heard, they may even surprise you.
IMO, this is not a black/white (pun not intended) issue there is some "gray." I hope both sides are able to possibly work something out.
