Default Can I go from OEM xenon to S4 bixenon ecodes by swapping bulbs and projectors?

Or is the process more complicated than pulling the bulb and projector? I usually ignore lighting questions...but I'm getting ready to make the leap to ecodes and figured I'd do bixenon ecodes in the process.

Yep...Steve "USP Quattro" & DD have done it, but you'll need new/different high beam bulbs.

Will I need to make any wiring changes (other than swapping the bulbs, ballasts, projectors)?

compartment is larger than standard ecodes or xenons.

Default I did it last weekend....

I was able to use my Xenon bulbs and ballasts. I was also able to use my Halogen high beam bulbs. I could not use my turn signal bulbs (different connector). You'll need 7507 bulbs for those (less than $4 for a two pack if you don't go with silvers).

No wiring changes - all plug and play.

The only thing you'll have to do is to move two wire connectors that are attached to a metal holder behind the driver's side housing. They unclip/slide out from the holder to allow the ecode housing to be installed. You can then reattach one of the wire connectors to the top position in the holder. The other one can snugly fit around the outside of the holder away from the ecode housing.

Default Awesome...thanks for the info! (m)

btw, I know that the plug and play S4 bixenon ecodes go for ~$600-$900. What's a decent price for just the S4 bixenon ecode housings?

Default Just a quick note: you won't be swapping the projectors: that's the piece that makes it bixenon

Just a matter of swapping bulbs, as other have said otherwise.

Default Unless prices have dropped dramatically, it costs $600 or more for just the housings

Without ballast and bulbs (which I'm guessing is what you meant by "plug and play").

Correct. You can get the S4 Bi-Xenon housings for $600 at ECS Tuning.

Default I did it too, and didn't need new high beam bulbs ...

In fact, one of the housings came with a highbeam bulb installed, and the other highbeam bulb i took from my OEM xenon setup. Other than that, its plug and play, but a PITA to make the passenger side one fit with the wiring thats there, its just not long enough. I managed to pull on it some as i guess there is some slack on it, but its certainly tight.
