I'm trying to figure out why my X-chipped 1.8t wont get above 15 psi (and it gets there rarely). My mechanic tested the vacuum line and pressure tested the turbo system, both were ok. Fuel to Air mixture is ok. The only other mod I've made to the car is a switch from the stock DV to the TT DV (75N something). I did this about a week after the chip and I believe that I may have mistaken a smoothening effect for an actual loss of power. After the new DV was installed i lost 20 hp to the wheel on the dyno. I just found this out a couple days ago. Can someone explain this? Im going to reinstall the stock DV soon and see if I can get the correct 17 psi.
