Can you CPO a car off lease?
I'm thinking of buying my company car, a '04 ultrasport when the lease is up in April. It's a weird lease, 2 year 50K miles, as I do a lot of highway miles. It's in great shape as I'm the only one who's driven it but it will be near the 50K mark and out of warranty when I buy it. Though it would cost $$, can I or would I want to have it CPO'ed so I have more warranty?? I would continue to put some serious miles on it. Figure an extended warranty is like an insurance policy- should I just go "naked." Opinions??

I think it's better to do it before your warranty expires.
I was told it's possible (you have to return the car and buy it out again in order to get CPO on it) but that the cost is lower if you do it while still under warranty. Still looking for hard numbers on this since I'm thinking about it myself; warranty is very close to being up. Will chat with my sales guy this week about it. Something tells me the cost of the CPO in the end is going to be waay to expensive to make it worthwhile.
