Can't pull fuel injectors free from fuel rail...

I've removed the clips that hold them in, so they turn, but they won't easily pull out. Any tips?

You could use a thin probe to work some motor oil into the seal, but they will release, pull harder.

Pulling in a circular spiral type motion may help. Use motor oil to lube the new O rings before you install the injectors in the sockets.

Thanks, got them out. Say, I just noticed the TT225 injectors have longer tips than the stock units

why is this?

The main reason is to minimize fuel wetting the port walls upstream of the valve port.

Which for fuel mixture control purposes, is bad. The 170 hp or 272 cc injectors don't completely saturate the intake flow path cross section with a dense fog of fuel droplets that the 386 cc units will. At the lower flow volume, there is a layer of air between the fuel spray and the port walls.
