Hi Guys,
I have a 2003 A4 and the hazard lights keep coming on and off all by themselves, if they are on and I try to swtich them off, sometimes the hazard light switch will work and sometimes it won't. I've taken out the hazard light switch and disconnected it from the lead and this doesn't fix the problem so I know the hazard light switch isn't the problem. I've tried all the fuses - leaving the hazard light switch on and taking out all the fuses, but for some reason the hazard light switch remained on. Please help, the hazards are draining the battery and it's becomming a pain in the backside! Brought it to main Audi dealers and they can't fix it.
Cheers - all help/advise appreciated.

It’s the failing alarm module in the right side of the rear trunk. There is a battery mounted on the circuit board that fails and starts to corrode the board and surrounding components. Disconnect the alarm module to see if your problem goes away. If you want your alarm beeps and lights to work again then pull the alarm module and open it up to see if it can be saved by installing a new battery, or find a working alarm module as a replacement. Post pics of the circuit board if you want an opinion if it can be saved.
