I'm stuck on what kind of sub(s) i should get for my car. I can't decide if I should go with (1) 10 or 12 inch kicker l5, and an amp, and if so, what kind of amp. Or should i go with two 10's? Or should i go with a single sub. Or rather, should I go with sort of no-name subs that will give me just as good of performance? like..volfenhag, or legacy, or such others. I'm not sure what kind I should get, and I'm stuck in a decision. Or should i stick to strictly some sort of high tech brand?

YOU need to decide what your looking for not what WE think you should get.
Ask yourself these simple questions.
1. How much space are you willing to give up in your trunk?
2. What kind of "sound" are you looking for. More tight accurate bass or more loud THUMPA THUMPA type of bass?
3. The type of amp will depend on what you decide for subs. If you only go with a single 10" then you may not need a very large amp, to drive a pair of 12s or 15's then your gonna need a bigger better amp.
Personally I stay away from "no name" stuff but at the same time I dont buy into what everybody out there says is the "best". JL Audio and Kicker are fine subs but you can get some very good performance out of other, less popular brands like JBL and Inifinity.
Check out some car audio forums out there. lots of info you will find.
(wtf? Yoda?? Im going to bed)

It works for me...

Some questions you need to ask yourself:
1) What kind of music do you listen to?
2) What is your budget
3) Do you care for the cosmetics or are you only interested in the output
4) Think long-term, do you want to have a complete aftermarket system, if so, think about what brand of speakers you want throughout the car. True you don't have to match the brand - but most of the time you can't go wrong b/c they are built to be compatible with each other.
